Every few years here in northern Vermont we have an occurrence of what we call a "snowliage". This is where we get a few inches of snow while there is still a lot of colorful fall foliage on the trees. These are great opportunities for a photographer to capture rare beauty. Here a single bright leaf, recently fallen from a sugar maple tree, lays in stark contrast to the white snow.
